CompTIA Network+

Network+ is vendor-neutral and globally recognised. CompTIA Network+ professionals are trained to work with a variety of hardware, software and networks. Companies that use Network+ include; Apple, Cisco, Dell, HP, Intel, etc.
The aim of the program is to provide those wishing to up-skill within the IT working environment with real life skills and which are valued by employers. CompTIANetwork+ covers the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common wired and wireless network devices. Also included are emerging technologies such as unified communications, mobile, cloud, and virtualization technologies.

 Job Responsibilities
The CompTIA Network+ certified individuals configure, manage, and fix networks computer systems, remote access systems, and equipment, such as scanners, copiers, and faxes.  They devise and execute operating networks, as well as configure, supervise, and support crucial network devices.
They determine the needs of users and the requirements for their systems so that they can design, oversees, and maintain their networks. Professionals collect data on routers, systems, and other hardware. They will also estimate costs of equipment.
Also, the certified individuals use routers and switches to split traffic of network and build robust networks. They isolate the pros and cons of current network configurations, apply standards, protocols, and security of the network, sort out computer network issues, and aid in the formation of virtualized networks.

CompTIA Network+ Salary
The average certified CompTIA Network+ salary is $62,000 per year in the United States. While the average freelance CompTIA Network+ salary would be $21 per hour, according to Payscale.

Applications of Fiber Optics

Optical fibers, or optical fibers, are often used in data transmission or light guidance applications. The optical fibers used in light guide applications transmit safe and heat-free light, ideal for medical, inspection, automotive or display applications. A single optical fiber uses total internal reflection to transmit light, allowing curves along its path. The minimal loss of light during transmission allows the optical fibers to rapidly transmit light or data over long distances. If grouped together, optical fiber can transmit large amounts of data for telecommunications applications.

Edmund Optics offers a variety of optical fibers, including optical fibers with coating or without coating or optical fibers for communications. The optical grade optical fiber is ideal for general industrial lighting or short distance data transmission. The communication grade optical fiber is designed for optimal transmission of visible light for digital or analog connections. Coated optical fiber increases durability by reducing diffuse light. Edmund Optics also offers fiber optic components, including connection cables, collimators, front plates or the tools needed to cut or remove optical fibers.
